I casted on for the Little Jockey Wrap yesterday for another baby gift, which will go to another expectant co-worker. It is actually the second time I've started one of these sweaters but the first time I tried it, I was trying to make it larger than the pattern is written and did not have enough of my chosen yarn. I ended up frogging that one. This time I'm following the pattern.
I am working my way through "The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym of Nantucket," by Edgar Allen Poe. It is the only novel he wrote. It is very interesting and tragic. The main character stows away on a ship his friend is employed on. Eventually there is a mutiny and a shipwreck and they find themselves, at one point, on a ship that is about to capsize, surrounded by sharks, and starving from lack of food and water. The things they come up with on order to survive become very extreme, the more desperate they become. When I actually find time to read, it is very gripping.
Linking up with Yarn Along.
