"Still Knitting"

Oh man you guys. Dickens gets us. I'm past this chapter but I did get some great amusement out of having two chapters back to back titled "Knitting" and "Still Knitting." She's been knitting the same project for years now. We can all relate.
I am still working on the hat that I will be donating to our church fundraiser, although I was hoping I could crank out at least one hat per week but obviously that's not happened. Ugh. There's just not enough hours in a day.
Until next time, knitters!

(This week be linked to Wednesday's Yarn Along once it's available.)

The Adam's Ribs Wrap

I finished this gorgeous sweater this week on Sunday. Blocked Sunday night and was wearing it by Monday. I love it so much!

Here are the details:
Pattern: Adam's Ribs Cap Sleeve Wrap by Carol Sunday
Yarn: Malabrigo Silky Merino - 51% silk, 49% merino wool
Needles: Size 10, straight needles

I'm very proud of this sweater. I bought two shawl pins to wear with it. When blocking, the ribbing opened up and the length of the sweater grew dramatically.  It didn't stretch width-wise as much as I was hoping but it still fits great. I thought it would be much more of a challenge to knit, which is why the pattern sat in my Ravelry library for almost 3 years. Once I got the hang of the 7-row repeat it flew off the needles! I know I'll get a lot of use out of this. It is already a treasured garment and it's barely off the blocking board!

A New Hat

I cast on for a hat on Monday. I've finished my sweater, which I will share once I have some nice photos! (Click here for a sneak peek though!) The hat will donated to our church's fall festival. I'm planning to spend this month making projects to donate, de-stashing some old yarn as a result.

We are still reading Holes together, and I am still slowly making my way through A Tale of Two Cities.

See more WIPs at the weekly Yarn Along link up.
